The San Joaquin Valley Lapidary Society exists to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection through the art and science of stone.

 Through monthly meetings, workshops, field trips, and community events, we create opportunities for members and the public to explore earth sciences and develop skills in lapidary and related crafts.   

The mission of the San Joaquin Valley Lapidary Society is to educate persons in geology, mineralogy, and lapidary arts and to provide an organization for people with these interests to meet, discuss, and practice those arts. To provide an opportunity for interested individuals to join the San Joaquin Valley Lapidary Society and learn about the hobby of lapidary and related crafts. To educate the members and the public about earth sciences including geology and mineralogy.

To promote community interests in the craft of lapidary, related crafts, and earth sciences.
